Inverloch
01.25.05 (11:58 pm)   [edit]
Howdy All!
I know our trip to Inverloch was like 2 weeks ago but I said I'd post the details! So here they are!

Day 1
The day began much to early as we had to get to the station to catch a bus (sounds weird i know) Everything was already packed and we had our tickets so we wre good to go. We left Dandy station with one less person as Bec was unable to make it. The bus was nice and big, very comfy too. There were also two cuteish guys on our bus (who got off during the journey coz they werent going with us) one of which i saw at Planet shakers :O! Anyway the trip went pretty quicky (probably due to all the talking and listening to music we did)
When we arrived Grandpa picked us up and took us to the motel.
The motel rocked my world. It was pretty big with a nice bathroom, a small kitchen thingy with no sink, a double bed, a single bed, a couch, a TV, 2 benches, 2 tables and 4 chairs but lots of room to spare!
I had the motel on the first night and Mike had it on the second.

After we dumped my stuff at the motel, we went back with Grandpa and had lucnch with him and Grandma. After that we went back to the motel, made myself at home and then left to go shopping. We got 8 postcards for people, a present for one of our mates and we went grocery shopping. By then it was late afternoon so we went back to the motel to write the postcards (which managed to take like 1 1/2 hours might I add) We then played footy & went to a carnival, followed by fish and chips (well potato cakes & chips) a walk on the beach more shopping, and going to see Grandma & Grandpa again.
After that we went back to the motel and spent ages playing card games and that stupid matchmaking game.. altho it wasnt so stupid when it gave me really good people... *checks results again* i LOVE that game lol Then mike went away and I went to bed!

Day 2
We went shopping again and got Souvenirs. I got a magnet with an aerial view of INverloch and a kkew ring of a shark saying "bite me" as well as this really pretty necklace with 2 hearts and a decorational starfish. We then set off on a HUGE walk down the beach, down past the caravan park, to the Screw Creek trail, over the bridge and up the top of the huge track. When we got back down we were so buggered we called Grandpa to pick us up from the caravan park :P Our hotel didnt come with a VCR and we had brought videos so we went and rented one (not bad $11 for a night) and watched Cash starring the Young Ones over lunch.
We then decided to go for a walk on the beach and see what the water was like. It was that damn good that we walked back to the motel and got changed and then proceeded to stay down there for about 3 hours. I managed to get a bit burnt tho. Made a lovely sand castle too :D
It was actually really late when we left and by the time we were showered, got everything ready (we had to make like 3 trips because we were forgetting everything) that we had a BBQ in the dark at 10.30pm Followed by watching Sumemr Holiday back at the motel, more matchmaking (its entertaining when your tired and your list of 20 has 2 bad people on it) and then I went back to Grandma & Grandpa's and slept.

Day 3
Ha long post this is turning out to be, bet your glad it was only 3 days long!
Packed everything up in the motel as we had to be out by 10am, reutnred the VCR and went to Grandma's & Grandpa's. Mum & Dad were coming to pick us up and spend the day down there with us so when we got back from our beach walk they were there. We then did the usual stuff we do when we're all down, checking out the surf beach, family lunch, visited my cousin at his work, etc.
We also had a look at Eagles Nest and got the famous gelati. (my mate Amy & I always got it when she came with us. "Give it to Bastian & He'll love you forever" lol Poor Tall Dark & Handsome One didnt know what hit him!) If you have no idea what I just said then, ignore whats inside the brackets ;)
Dad & Grandpa went off to get fish and chips while the 3 generations (i.e Mum, Grandma & Me) and Mike played Bocce. Grandma's really good lol.
During dinner we found a bit of bread that looked like Pacman and then looked at all the digital photos we'd taken on the TV.
We were all pretty buggered by then so we decided to hit the road. Grandma & Grandpa were awesome during our stay and it was so great to get. I'm so doing it again next year!!

There you go folks, Inverloch in a rather large nutshell. Stay tuned for the Planet Shakers entry coming whenever I'm bored next!

Farewell!!
01.10.05 (5:26 pm)   [edit]
Tomorrow I am leaving on my mini holiday down the beach with some friends! It's only 3 days long (thats all three unemployed teens could afford) but it's going to be so damn good!! The weather's going to be lovely and hot meaning the beaches will be packed.. more chance of making new friends ;)

As 2 girls and one guy are going Bec and I are staying in a hotel and Mike is staying with grandma and grandpa in their spare room thingy out the back. Luckily the hotel is literally across the road.. well its like at the end of their street! I think what appeals to us about that is that we're independant, making our food and looking after ourselves but if we need anything we can just walk like 100m and we can see my grandparents.

There isnt THAT much to do down there. However we have made a list of all possible things to do. There will be a carnival down there and by that i mean a block of land with games to waste my money on and merry go rounds for kiddies :P Theres the footy oval, the park, the beach, the walk at screw creek (yes ladies and gentlemen, screw creek is its name) exploring, shopping, postcard writing (due to lack of money if you recieve a postcard you must be VERY special! i.e Mel & Kris look in the mail :P) playing card games and umm bird watching... or something

Anyways I had best be off, I'll give the full report when I return.. or maybe the day after coz I'll be stuffed on Friday :P

Until Next Time

Happy New Year!
01.02.05 (12:26 am)   [edit]
Hope you all made it safely into 2005 :) My mate Nige did a round up of 2004 and since I'm bored I figured I'd do the same! Altho it wasnt my best year, but it certainly wasnt my worst.
January - Pretty good month, celebrated the new year with family and friends, spent most of january wishing I had gone to Planet Shakers. Spent some time down at Blair Gowrie with Mike, Nathan, Nat and their family. Lotsa fun and got back into the spirit of school and started my VCE.

February - Turned sweet 16. Too sweet IMO but yeah you deal with it. Managed to be sick on the actual day which was both good and bad as I got the majority of the week off! My house at school won the swimming carnival as usual and my hero Adam Ramanauskas returned to footy after battling cancer!

March - AFL season got underweigh so my entertainment was back! Apart from my mates wedding and meeting Shane Crawford again that was the only good thing about March. March to June is such a blur. All i remember is sadness, anger and helplessness. Some of you will understand why, but I think most wont. I finally left the things behind that were keeping me locked in.
Having said that there were a few things for those missing months that deserve a mention.

April - Met Tristan Cartledge from the Bombers again and discovered that when he kneels down he is almost as big as me.. I dont think theres much hope for him and I lol. Dustin Fletcher also actually got a free kick. I know this because I actually was sad enough to do what the old saying says "put a ring aroung the date".

May - Dustin Fletcher got another free kick!!

June - Started to feel good again. Did really well on my exams and had great holidays. Passed my L's first go. Met my first Blitzers too (i.e people from bomberblitz.com/forum for those who do not kno) even if I did spend the entire time perving on Tristan Cartledge as opposed to talking to my new found friends.

July - Finally got off my buttox and went back to church. This itme another new one. Boom, which has been refered to before on here. I made some really good friends there and I'm hoping to last longer at Boom than I did at some of my other churches. This is number 4 in 5 years! Not a great record. Met some more Blitzers, felt on top of the world. In July someone touched my life as well, but that too is now in the past.

August - Started going to Boom full time, still enjoying the company of the people who were really important to me. Made a pretty big mistake in August, actually 4 mistakes in the space of one afternoon, but one was worse than the others. meh You live you learn hey?

September - Fixed some broken frienships and rekindled some old ones. Really got into the Boom culture, made relationships solid. Spent a lot of time with mates and felt on top of the world. The best holidays I'd had in years I reckon. Bombers missed out on that one day in September, but I have high hopes for next year, unlike many I know :S

October - Went to my first Semi Formal as Wilma Flintsone. Started to panic about my up coming 3/4 exam. Ended up missing a lot of church stuff to Study and ended up cramming badly.

November - Stuff stops going so great. I did ok on the 3/4 exam but I know I could have done better. Did pretty well on the yr 11 exams, especially since I was sick and had a fever for one of them. I got betrayed and lied too. It hurt a lot, but it hasnt killed me yet so I spose I'm stronger for it.

December - Picking up the pieces and having the time of my life. Spent time with friends and plotted a get away with mates. Had a great Christmas and New Year.

Last year left me with some scars, just like 2003 but I'm much more satisfied with 04. I met some special peopel this year but still got very hurt. But I survived it. Now I'm just pretending I'm not scared about year 12 and the big bad world after it, looking forward to going away and looking forward to Planet Shakers.

So there you have it, my long review of 2004. Keep safe and enjoy the rest of the holidays. :)

Until Next Time
